Vivian P.Y. Chan Vivian P.Y. Chan
Barrister-at-Law, Garden Chambers

Vivian took the CPE and obtained her law degree with Manchester Metropolitan University and completed her PCLL with the University of Hong Kong. She commenced her practice as a barrister in 2018.

Drawing from experience from her commercial background, Vivian is developing a broad civil practice and has been undertaking work in land, building management, equity and trusts, probate, as well as general commercial disputes.

Vivian currently teaches part-time at both the University of Hong Kong and HKUSPACE in Land Law, Law of Torts and Civil Procedure.

Jevons C.H. CHAN Jevons C.H. CHAN

Jevons was called to the Bar in 2017. He has a versatile practice covering various areas of the Law, including conveyancing practices, stamp-duty matters, mortgagee actions, building management and other land-related disputes.

In addition to handling cases in the aforesaid areas as an advocate, Jevons also has considerable experience in undertaking the advisory role over solicitors' practice in these areas, and is familiar with the practical aspects involved in such prevailing conveyancing and building management practices etc.

Vivian Lam Vivian Lam

After obtaining her LLB at Keele University in 2009, Vivian attained her LLM from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2010 and her PCLL at the University of Hong Kong in 2012. She started her practice as a barrister in 2013.

Vivian's main practice is civil litigation, focusing in matrimonial and land dispute cases. She has also been instructed in compulsory sale for redevelopment cases and rural representative election related matters.

She is fluent in English, Cantonese and Putonghua.

Jacky C.K. YEUNG Jacky C.K. YEUNG

Jacky has been teaching in the higher education sector since 2012. He was a teaching assistant of the then HKU Faculty Business and Economics (now HKU Business School) teaching various Accounting and Business Law courses.
He then joined the HKU Faculty of Law as a lecturer in 2018 and started teaching Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and Evidence courses. He is also an examiner of the PCLL Conversion Exam for the Evidence module.

Jacky was called to the bar in 2016 and regularly receives instructions to act in both civil and criminal matters. He also holds appointments in various statutory bodies and tribunals.

Stephanie Wong Stephanie Wong
Barrister-at-law, Des Voeux Chambers

Stephanie is a barrister with a broad civil practice. She accepts instructions for both advocacy and advisory work and has been instructed on matters covering a wide range of areas of law. Her practice covers general Civil, Commercial, Intellectual Property, Competition, Chancery, Public Law and Arbitration.

Stephanie was admitted to the University of Hong Kong through the Early Admission Scheme, where she graduated with First Class and Dean's List Honours for both her B.B.A.(Law) and LL.B. degrees. She was also a Visiting Student at the Faculty of Law, University of Oxford, where she completed the one-year undergraduate programme with First Class results. Following her undergraduate studies, she went on to obtain an LL.M. at the University of Cambridge, and graduated with a First in Intellectual Property law.
Stephanie was a Lecturer (Non-Clinical) at the Department of Law of the University of Hong Kong. She is also currently serving as a Member to the Intellectual Property Law Committee of the Hong Kong Bar Association.

She is the author of the Butterworths Hong Kong Trade Marks Law Handbook (4th Ed.), the author of Vol 25[155] Entertainment, Hotels, Sport and Tourism of Halsbury's Laws of Hong Kong, the author of the Halsbury's Laws of Hong Kong Current Service - Sale of Goods (Vol. 121), and a Contributing Editor to Hong Kong Company Law Cases (2008 - 2019) - published in 2020 by DVC in collaboration with Kluwer.

Dr. Stefan H. C. LO Dr. Stefan H. C. LO
Faculty of Law, The University of Hong Kong.

Stefan was educated in Australia and is a graduate of the University of Sydney (PhD, LLM, BA/LLB (Hons I)). He is a Principal Lecturer in the Faculty of Law of the University of Hong Kong, teaching company law and corporate governance, and is also Director of HKU's Master of Laws in Corporate and Financial Law. Stefan has been a member of the Standing Committee on Company Law Reform from 2015-2021 and 2025-present. Before joining HKU, he acted as Deputy Principal Government Counsel in the Civil Division of the Department of Justice for a number of years, predominantly advising in connection with the Companies Ordinance Rewrite, the Corporate Insolvency Law Improvement Exercise and the Statutory Corporate Rescue Procedure. Stefan has published widely in the area of company law, including articles in local and international journals. He is author of Law of Companies in Hong Kong (Sweet and Maxwell, now in its fourth edition, 2023) and In Search of Corporate Accountability: Liabilities of Corporate Participants (Cambridge Scholars, 2015); and is also General Editor of Company Law in Hong Kong - Practice and Procedure / Insolvency (Sweet and Maxwell) and Tyler and Lo's Hong Kong Company Law - Legislation and Commentary (LexisNexis).

Justin Woo Justin Woo
Senior Teaching Consultant
School of Law, City University of Hong Kong


Justin obtained his various academic qualifications from the London School of Economics (B Econ, M Econ), King's College London (LLB), the University of Hong Kong (PCLL) and the Chinese University of Hong Kong (MBA). He was admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong and practiced as a commercial litigator in a number of leading international law firms in Hong Kong, before joining a number of leading global investment banks in Hong Kong, working in the field of regulatory legal and compliance.

Justin has also been teaching the PCLL both on a full-time and part-time basis since 2007 at the City University of Hong Kong and the University of Hong Kong, covering a number of subjects including e.g. Civil Procedure, Legal Drafting and writing, Professional Practice and Management, and Financial Regulatory Practice, to name a few.

Justin joined the School of Law at City University of Hong Kong as a Senior Teaching Consultant in January 2024, and he currently teaches different subjects for the PCLL.


Jethro Pak Jethro Pak
Barrister-at-law, 95 Queensway Chambers

Jethro joined 95 Queensway Chambers upon its opening in 2022, following completion of his pupillage with Mr John Marray, Mr Martin Wong, Mr Richard Yip and Mr Victor Gidwani.

Jethro obtained his JD and PCLL at the University of Hong Kong. During JD, he took part in the 14th Red Cross International Humanitarian Law Moot as an oralist representing the University of Hong Kong.

Before studying Law, Jethro obtained his Bachelor of Engineering in the University of Hong Kong with First Class Honours. He was awarded Dean's Honours List twice.

Jethro has appeared in all levels of Court, both as sole advocate and led junior. He has also appeared in arbitration.

Jethro is fluent in Cantonese, English and Mandarin.
