Presenter's Biography:

Mr. Mike LAM,H.Y. was called to the Bar in 2013. He has a mixed practice with a focus on personal injury, employees' compensation, contractual disputes and commercial litigation. He is also a member of Legal Aid Panel on these cases. Mike has also advised multiple PRC corporations in relation to their business in Hong Kong, including compliance with SFC rules. Mike also has experience in handling disputes in property, building management, trusts and civil contempt.

On the criminal side, Mike is experienced in representing clients in criminal proceedings at different levels of courts. He is also regularly instructed by the Government to appear as counsel-on-fiat and in disciplinary hearings.
 
Objective:

The course highlights the legal principles and updates for solicitors to handle employees' compensation cases nowadays. The legal issues under the Employee's Compensation Ordinance (Cap. 282) would be discussed.
