Objective:

Financial statements have incorporated useful financial information that are essential for users to make business and legal decisions. In particular, the legal professional needs to evaluate Financial Statements in order to assess the liquidity of a potential defendant, the lost profits or damages of a potential plaintiff, as well as assess solvency in bankruptcy, matrimonial and estate liquidation proceedings. Being able to read and understand Financial Statements can help you communicate better with different parties and maximize your client's benefits.

Nevertheless, merely looking at financial statements may not be able to obtain all insights. This course will equip you with the skills required to analyse and interpret the financial statements prepared by business entities, with particular emphasis on the entities' profitability, liquidity and efficiency.

1. Review of financial statements structure
2. Financial statement analysis methodologies
3. Profitability analysis
4. Efficiency analysis
